Saudi Arabia's big decision: Corona vaccine will be required to perform Haj

 Saudi Arabia has given a big decree for all pilgrims coming for Haj. According to the government, all pilgrims coming to perform Haj will be required to get the Corona vaccine vaccinated otherwise Haj will not be allowed. The Health Minister of Saudi Arabia has stated that all health workers on duty during the Haj will also have to get the Corona vaccine first because the health workers will provide health facilities to the pilgrims coming on the Haj. 



Anyone who has taken the vaccine will not be quarantined
. It has also been reported from the Saudi Arabian administration that those who have taken both doses of Corona will not be quarantined. 

India also issued guidelines for Haj
  • The age limit set by the government is between 18 and 65 years. People older than this will not be able to perform Haj pilgrimage
  • Pilgrims visiting Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia have been asked to follow the physical distance criteria.
  • Also, due to Kovid-19 there are no provisions for NRIs this year.
  • The Haj Committee said that in the present situation, travelers who are suffering from heart, diabetes, respiratory disorders, pregnancy and other serious diseases will also not be allowed.
  • Expenditure on Haj 2021 is expected to be relatively high as compared to normal Hajj pilgrimage. Therefore, pilgrims who are financially capable to bear this additional expense should apply only.
  • Those whose passport is not valid till 10 January 2022 will not be allowed to travel.
